At this time of year, in all my social feeds, I begin to see a lot of people posting about the future. What are the big trends and assumptions that should guide our work next year? What are the technologies we must adopt? How do we avoid making a colossal FOMO mistake and missing out on what is obvious and in plain sight?
Well, I will leave predicting the future to folks who are a lot smarter than me!
What I like to reflect on at this time of year is what have I learned in last 12 months. What worked and what didn’t. It’s my own personal version of the famous quote, likely from Harvard philosopher George Santayana who writing in The Life of Reason, (1905), said ““Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
